Good nutrition can be beneficial for you during this time, particularly to help speed healing and recovery and to improve strength and energy. Nutrition needs differ from person to person. While it is always best to seek guidance for your specific needs from a dietitian,
here are some tips to get started:

Choose a wide variety of dark green and brightly coloured fruits & vegetables

Limit red-meat, especially cured or smoked,
to once or twice a week

Include plant-based proteins more often

Limit foods & beverages that are highly processed

Keep hydrated. Bring a water bottle with you and sip throughout the day.

Avoid or limit alcohol intake to one drink per day.

Keeping up your energy
is important!

If your appetite is poor,
focus on eating small
amounts more often.

Do not believe everything you read online –
it can be overwhelming and often false
