Debbie Bridgman

Thriver

Debbie who days before her 56th birthday learned that cancer had returned for the sixth time. The story begins in 1994 when Debbie took her two young daughters and left behind her abusive husband at the young age of 30.

Shortly after, she discovered a lump under her armpit. Debbie was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer that had already spread to her lymph nodes. A few years later, in her fourth year of the 5-year tamoxifen therapy regime, the cancer had returned in the same breast. Debbie made a brave choice to have a mastectomy. 9 years later, Debbie felt pain in her arm and neck and a PET scan confirmed the devastating news that she had metastatic breast cancer.

Since the diagnosis, this incredibly beautiful, brave and positive woman has never lost hope. She has remained an active mother and positive role model for her girls, even when the cancer returned in 2013, and again in 2015. Debbie says: "Having metastatic breast cancer, you know it will come back.

But I never waited. I continued living and doing everything fantastic in my life. I love my life." This past December,

Debbie joined us on set for our National Denim Day campaign with her persistent smile and optimistic outlook- even though she had just found out that her cancer had returned yet again.
