Metastatic breast cancer isn’t just a diagnosis—it’s a lifelong journey.
As a mom of three teens, I juggle school, hobbies, family routines—all while managing ongoing treatments, fatigue, and side effects that come with living with advanced cancer. Since my metastatic diagnosis in 2024, I’ve been living on 60% of my previous income, making every day a careful balance of stretching resources to keep life as normal as possible for my kids.
Most people think of cancer as hospitals and treatments, but at home, life doesn’t slow down. Bills need paying, meals need making, and homework needs helping. The stress of managing a serious illness alongside financial worries is a side of cancer most don’t see.
My children motivate me to show up, grow, and keep moving forward. Their curiosity, kindness, and the people they are becoming are my anchor through it all.
